whimsy is vital

sponsored by serendipity. powered by me. sustained by you.

I'm currently raising a self-sustaining fund to expand the grantmaking capacity of The Garden Grant, so reach out to me if you're a funder, and/or part of a family office, and/or if you know the meanings of acronyms and concepts like "DAF," "impact-investing," and "trust-based philanthropy." my bonafides include being a Ford Foundation grantee, and serving on a grantmaking committee at WDN.

I'm open to creative collaborations with compelling co-conspirators.

algorithms are for the predictable. I am for the curious.

I'm a curious woman who says, studies, and does whatever she finds interesting, so I don't want to flatten myself into something easy for algorithms to digest, on platforms that find me easy to discard.

as someone who has experienced both censorship from social media platforms and harassment + plagiarism from their users, I have zero desire to continue producing free content for them to monetize while they constantly ignore the violence that users like me are threatened with. it doesn't help that we're constantly being reminded that there is no consistency or security on any of these platforms.

the world's most popular social media platforms are terrible stewards of our attention and information.

so, if you find me interesting, entertaining, and/or inspirational, free me from the algorithm by supporting my output here.*

I don't have a niche, and I don't fit neatly into any single box--so, I built a digital space where I don't have to.

this is my archive of whimsy, nuance, creativity, and collaboration.

you're welcome to join me.

*NOTE: if you're a student, or if you can't afford it, just ask me for a free access code. (putting my content behind a paywall has simply been one of the most effective ways of weeding out folks who believe that my being visible online automatically means I've consented to harassment from strangers. and, well, y'all know how I feel about boundaries 😉)

come for my thoughts. stay for the vibes.
